5 Ways To Spring Clean Your Diet

I think that spring might have finally sprung so this is a fantastic time to get back your nutrition zing!

 Here are 5 tips that will help:

🌈Eat more colours

Now that gloomy cold winter weather has gone it is time for a splash of colour (not only in our clothes!). Start by adding one extra colourful vegetable into your food plan every day, you will not only be increasing your nutrient level but you will make your gut bacteria very happy too.

🧹Spring clean your cupboards

As we pack away our winter jumpers and coats it is a good time to get rid of those nasty over processed foods that are lurking in the back of the cupboards! Replenish with healthy options like nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.

🍬Cut Out Sugar

There is a tendency to craving comfort foods during the colder months but spring is a great time for a new challenge so try reducing or even completely removing refined sugar from your diet. 

📝Write a plan

Having a weekly meal plan in place is a great start to a healthier eating pattern – it makes grocery shopping easier too.

🥬Grow your own

Make the most of the sunshine and plant a few seeds to grow your own lettuce or fresh herbs.
