Are You Too Busy To Think About Your Nutrition?

I completely understand that you might think that changing the way you eat is going to be a right faff.

Meal planning, meal prep, batch cooking are all brilliant options to get you into the swing of a healthy eating plan and these are areas that I provide detailed nutrition advice and support on in my one to one consultations. However, if your life is already hectic these tools might seem like a step too far – but don’t worry!

There are ways to get your nutrition on track without the hassle!

 Store Cupboard ‘Cheats’

If you don’t have time to chop and crush things like garlic, ginger and chilli peppers – buy them in a jar.

Ready cooked whole grains like quinoa can be found in sachets and heated up in a flash.

Use curry pastes, pesto and harissa to add flavour to your meals.

 Buy Pre-prepped Vegetables

Yes it would be ideal to eat organic homegrown vegetables everyday but this is not always an option. If you need to buy a ready prepped bag of stir fry vegetables – do it! There are also ready chopped vegetables for roasting and even chopped onions. It is much better to choose these options that not eat vegetables because it’s too much hassle!

 Use the Freezer

Stock your freezer full of foods that you can quickly change into a nutritious meal. E.g. fish, chicken, vegetables, berries

Have a plan – but not an actual ‘Meal Plan’

You don’t necessarily need a strict ‘meal plan’ but it will save time if you have a rough idea of the weekly dinners you are going to make! Even if it is a list of easy recipes that can be thrown together in 20mins or less.

Get everyone involved

Including everyone in the household in the decision-making process and cooking can save time (and disagreement😂) at mealtimes.

I hope you find these ideas useful! Please take a look at my consultation page if you would like some more information about how I work.
