Digestion.

BLOATING, DIARRHOEA, CONSTIPATION, FOOD INTOLERANCES and REFLUX

Are all symptoms of improper digestion.

Even the most nutrient dense foods are worthless if there is inadequate digestion as the absorption of nutrients will be compromised.

Gut microbiota aid food digestion and absorption, and inhibit the development of pathogenic bacteria.

Research shows that alterations in these ratios may lead to a change in gastrointestinal function and health.

I work on a one to one basis with my clients to support their gastrointestinal health and function.

Energy and Vitality.

FEELING TIRED OR LOW IN ENERGY IS A COMMON COMPLAINT - BUT GOOD NUTRITION CAN HELP!

Everyone has days where they are just too tired to cook however those handy little pick me ups like coffee, tea and sugary treats might actually be making things worse!

Eating foods with a low nutrient quality means that the body can’t produce energy as effectively and we start to experience fluctuations in energy and sometimes mood through the day.

I can guide you through dietary and lifestyle changes that will help you to achieve the balance of energy output, recovery, rest and relaxation that is best suited to your individual need.

Stress.

OUR BODY IS DEPENDANT ON SPECIFIC NUTRIENTS TO MANAGE STRESS SUCCESSFULLY.

Although we often think of stress as a bad thing, stress of various forms is actually required to maintain our equilibrium or homeostasis.

The tissues that maintain our ability to manage stress successfully are very dependent on nutrition, and the availability of nutrient rich foods to ensure an optimal response and maintenance of homeostasis.

There are many other factors also involved, but a healthy diet and lifestyle, along with suitable targeted support can make a real difference to your energy and stress management.

Weight Loss

Weight management can be complicated and there are often several reasons why you are struggling to lose weight. It could be that you are stressed or extremely busy, have a hormone imbalance, lack of motivation, poor digestion, disrupted sleep, an inappropriate macro nutrient balance, nutrient deficiencies – I could go on!
If this underlying condition is not addressed, then any weight loss is likely to be difficult.

I base my weight loss strategy on healthy eating of ‘real’ food. By losing weight gradually and ensuring that you are meeting your body's nutritional needs, your metabolism will remain well balanced, and you are more likely to be able to maintain the weight loss.
