Christmas Shopping

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?

Here are a few ideas that will help to improve your health in 2017!

1. Nutri bullet / blender

The Nutribullet has been around for a while but if you haven’t got one I think it is worth the investment. You can make fabulous nutrient dense smoothies but it also makes oat pancakes, nut butters, tasty dips and apparently very good mojitos!

 

2. Spiraliser

This is a great way to get more vegetables into your diet. Make sure that you buy one that is easy to clean.

 

3. Slow cooker

I love my slow cooker, especially at this time of the year. I tend to prepare the ingredients the night before and throw them in the slow cooker at breakfast time. It is lovely finishing work and knowing that dinner is already made! Also fantastic for chicken stock, soups and even porridge!

 

4. Meal Planner

This is a great little stocking filler. Planning your weekly meals makes life so much easier, you can then shop accordingly so you reduce food waste and there is less likelihood of a dash to the takeaway!

 

 

5. Activity Tracker

The jury is still out on the effectiveness of these devises but if you feel that you need an extra bit of motivation seeing your steps, lack of sleep or average heart rate in black and white might just give you the boost you need to get active in 2017!

 

6. A new cookery book

There are a huge number of recipe resources on line but I love holding and flicking through a new cookery book. Even if you don’t use every recipe the pictures often provide the inspiration for a new dish. Here are a few of my favourites and a couple that are on my wish list!

7. Water bottle

A new water bottle to take to work or keep on your desk might encourage you to drink more water. I love the ones with the fruit diffusers inside.

 

8. Organic food box subscription

The best way to start eating more vegetables is to buy more vegetables! It sounds silly but having vegetables in the house really does make you eat more and using a box delivery company will increase the variety of produce that you eat too!

9. Magnesium Bath Flakes

And relax! After a busy time over Christmas these bath flakes are perfect to help you wind down and can also sooth aching joints and muscles.
